Costa Electronics has been in the TV repair business for over 40 years, in fact the original owner Jim Costa used to fix TVs back in the late 50s, he was what they called a tube tapper, when televisions used vacuum tubes.

Although nowadays television sets are quite affordable and cheap, unfortunately that cheapness translates into their quality as well, being that most sets are mostly made from chineseium. In fact, today's TVs if they are a heavily watched TV (5+ hours a day) will only last you 2 to 3 years, a lot don't even last that long. Not only can we fix these TVs we can actually improve their reliability with either your repaired TV or a new TV.

I can take a new TV out of the box and do simple modifications to the unit that will increase their reliability and performance and we offer this service automatically on all our pre-owned sets and as an option on our new sets. Speaking of which we do sell new TVs we can sell any brand and technology, but you may be surprised at what our professional recommendations are for new sets.

This can also lead you to cord cutting options where you can save big money by eliminating or reducing your cable and satellite subscription costs. Unfortunately, here at Costa Electronics there are 2 tools we don’t have, a crystal ball and a magic wand, so calling us and expecting an instant repair cost on your TV just isn't going to happen. What we can tell you is we have estimate fees that you pay when you bring your TV in for repair which applies totwards the labor cost. Estimates are are as follows:

1. TVs below 30 in is a $25 estimate fee with a minimum labor of $65
2. TVs 30 to 40 in is a $35 estimate fee with a minimum labor of $75
3. TVs 42-in to 70 in is a $50 estimate fee with a minimum labor of $120
4. TVs 75 inch and larger is a $100 estimate fee with a minimum labor of $150

Estimates for repair are given in 5 to 7 business days, if not sooner, this does not include time to repair or to order parts if necessary. We can also repair audio equipment which has a $75 estimate fee with a minimum labor of $150. Because of the time-consuming nature of audio repair and our business model, these and other electronic repairs do take secondary priority so there is no promised time frame on estimates or repairs on these types of electronics, although we do try to take care of your needs in a timely order.

We also offer other types of electronic bench repair which require the skills of soldering and troubleshooting of all kind of electronic boards and components including but not limited to: battery chargers, automobile ECM’s, toys, miscellaneous appliances, etc.

Our very minimum bench labor for any kind of miscellaneous repair is $65 so do keep this in mind when considering the cost to repair or replace your component. These repairs are done on a Case by case basis and maybe refused and turned away by our staff, but it never hurts to ask!

In fact, we have been recommended by adjusters from Farm Bureau insurance for over 40 years. We can also take care of your repair estimates of surge damaged equipment of not only TVs, security cameras, and audio equipment but also appliances, garage door openers, home intercom systems, and other electronic devices which require estimates from your insurance company no matter who they are, and we can also provide the documentation required by these companies.
